The ABC’s of Camping

Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010

Camping out in the wilderness or in a camp is definitely an extraordinary experience one can have. Young and old have an affinity to this outdoor recreational activity the world over. Most of the time though, people forget the most simple things to remember when going camping. Read on to be reminded about the basic things to consider and do when going camping.

First of all, always make a checklist of some of the activities you will be doing while camping. This checklist is something I tell all my clients of my San Diego RV rentals that they should do. Include in your checklist a rules and regulations portion that you and your companions must adhere to. Make sure that upon waking up you check your activity for the day and all things required for said activity.

The next thing to remember is keep a tight schedule of every activity. This has to do with the schedule of activities you are going to execute every day throughout the camp. Ensure that meal times, sleeping times and wake up call are properly observed and followed. This is sometimes easier to do when you rent an RV like the ones at my Campland on the Bay RV rentals because it allows you to keep things like sleeping and eating in more of a routine because everything is conveniently set up for you with an RV. A delay in one activity will have a domino effect on everything else you had planned.

Make camping cleaning a routine. Every camper must be involved in this clean up for it to be successful. Ensure that right at the very beginning you have instructed campers to keep all food stuff in the proper place including the wrappers and trash. Another idea that will work wonders is to appoint each one a particular task to ensure responsible campers. This way you will save more time and effort instead of stopping the activities so you can call them to clean.

Now remember to enjoy your camping trip. Keep in mind that the goal of this camping trip is to bond with your loved ones. Enjoying the company of each other and just plain relaxing together while eating is great. Stick together to maximize the time you have since the purpose of this trip is to enjoy the company of each other.

Those are the four basic and simple things you should always remember when camping. If you follow the tips listed above you will surely enjoy your camping trip with your loved ones. So, you must follow them as you spend time with family and friends. All these tips will enable you to create a wonderful memory to be treasured, a wonderful camping trip together.

What Do You Know About Hunting Blinds

Thursday, February 18th, 2010

Unless you are a true hunting enthusiast, chances are that you have never come across a hunting blind, tree stand, or similar piece of camouflage kit before. Here are a few basics that will help you to understand the concept.

Essentially, the concept has to do with using a small-enclosed cabin that is referred to as a blind. Typically, the blind will have small open windows that are large enough to view the surrounding area. Inside the blind, there is usually bench seating for the hunter, allowing for some comfort while waiting for wildlife to come along.

Hunting blinds can be constructed of various materials, such as two-by-fours and sheets of plywood, or even metal sheeting. If you’re building your own blind, keep in mind that you’ll need to be able to carry it into the woods, so the lighter the construction, the easier it will be to manage.

Usually, the blind for hunting comes camouflaged to blend into the surround flora and fauna, making the presence of the structure much harder to detect with the naked eye. While a single blind may measure around four feet by four feet, some prefer to construct double blinds, creating side-by-side compartments that will accommodate two hunters.

Hunters that utilize blinds do not have to worry about poor weather. You will be protected from any storm catching you off guard. The hunter also has the advantage of the camouflage provided by the blind making it more difficult for the wildlife to see their movements within the blind.

You will benefit from the advantages offered by the blind for numerous hunting activities, while remaining protected from adverse weather conditions. If you are a confident do-it-yourselfer, you may be able to utilize the available plans that allow you to build your own blind.

The Beginnings Of New York’s Yankee Stadium

Sunday, February 7th, 2010

Hear the loudest sounds of crowds cheering? Well you are at The Yankee stadium! It has been 8 decades and this stadium continues to be the world’s most favored when it comes to the all american craze of baseball! Originating in 1923, the stadium is known for its one of a kind horseshoe shape and at that time it was called “the stadium”! This stadium will continue to tell the young and old that it witnessed the New York team’s first success in the World Series championships, 284 days after it was built. The N.Y. Yankees played six games against the Giants, beating them in each of those 6 glorious games!

The stadium remembers its great men, the legends who made the New York Yankees world renowned, and also has a Monument park to honor each of its great ambassadors of baseball. The Monument Park plays host to the greatest legends of baseball fame, by having their walls mounted with the plaques of these amazing sportsmen. This stadium has been the host to the World Series 37 times.

The walls of the walkway adorn 16 players’ numbers who retired along with their managers. Fascinating as it sounds, the New York Yankees were the first to wear their number permanently and proclaim to be the team with the largest number of retirees. A name that rings a glorified bell is Lou Gehrig; he was the first to retire as the number 4 in the year 1939.

The Monument Park is a must see but see that you get there on time when the gates open or at least 45 minutes before the commencement of the first pitch. No chances to visit it post the games!

Remember the glory Babe Ruth brought to Baseball? He was the reason behind the construction of this marvelous stadium! The stadium’s dimensions were tailored for left hand players or hitters. This stadium is also called Babe Ruth’s home; his runs previously drew crowds to the Polo grounds to the effect that management of New York had to build a stadium with triple decks!

This massive stadium has altered its size about 15 times and boasts of offering the largest seating space for its spectators when compared to the 30 other ball parks that are major league. Bob Sheppard is the man with the commentator’s touch since 1951.

One may not get a great view further away from the field, you are above the field if you were to sit in a tier box and the upper deck which is larger has very different perspectives in seating. It is quite difficult to reach the upper deck as aisle is very narrow and allows only one person to pass through, yet the stadium can only be seen completely if one walks around the perimeter of the stadium. It is still the stadium with the loudest crowd’s scream.

Need lodging while visiting New York?. Check out hotels near Cornell Medical Center or hotels near Grand Central Station for great hotel discounts.

The Types Of Callaway 3 Wood On The Market

Sunday, February 7th, 2010

There are currently four different types of a Callaway 3 wood available, they are Big Bertha Diablo, FT-i Squareway, the X-Hot and the FT. These three woods provide different effects and are dependent upon the type of swing of the golfer. I will briefly discuss the main differences between each and inform you of the benefit of the specific enhancement.

The Big Bertha Diablo range has a strategically shaped clubhead and this assists in providing a longer and more accurate shot.

If twisting action is problematic within your swing then then FT-i Squareway may be a better choice of club for you asFT-i Squareway has a squareway inertial design placing the weight of the club head in the most extreme corners of the club. The result of this is that the club is loss prone to twisting throughout the swing action.

The X-Hot is designed to increase accuracy in hitting the ball the sole is split into two sections hich creates a smoother movement within the stroke. This design is exclusive to the Callaway X-Hot series.

For increased flight trajectory and shot shaping the club of choice should be the Callaway FT 3 wood. This model combines a mixture of elements to enable the Callaway engineers to weight the club to enhance its centre of gravity giving a more flowing feeling within the club.

The angle of the club face on a three wood is usually between 13 and 15 degrees, this is known as the loft of the wood. From a three wood you should be aiming to get the ball to travel around the 250 yard mark. When a driver is not an appropriate club for the tee off a 3 wood can be used. It is also handy for shots where the ball is just off the fairway or when the ball has a good lie in the rough.

Golf club have become very technical innovations these days and as such a lot of science goes into creating them. Many clubs achieve different outcomes so the best way to discover which club is the one for you is to just try them all out, there’s no better way.

There are two main types of metal used for 3 wood clubs these being a titanium alloy or steel. Titanium provides greater power within the shot to due its lighter weight however it is more expensive than steel.

Loft is a key part of a wood, the higher the number on the wood the more loft that it generates. The more loft a club has the higher the ball will travel, and as such the shorter the distance from you it will cover.

The 3-wood is usually the second longest club that a golfer uses second to the 1-wood, 2-wood club are available however they are rarely used. As the heads of woods are smaller than the heads of that of drivers they are easier to control whilst in swing. It is for this reason beginners are pushed towards starting teeing off with a wood rather than a driver in order to learn how to use the larger clubs. You just can’t go wrong when you choose a Callaway 3 wood.

Use one of the best clubs out there by getting the Callaway 3 wood in your bag. Look online to find great deals, even on a nice canvas field bag to use. Go online today and find out more.
