Beautiful Caleta de Fuste

Caleta de Fuste is a fairly new town in Fuerteventura and was primarily built to serve as a holiday resort. It is said that the region has sunshine 365 days a year with almost no rainfall.

The picture perfect beaches with golden sand in Caleta have been man made and their beauty hasn’t waned in the many years that they have been around, quite unlike many other beaches that have been man made.

The region also boasts of some very good hotels which face the beach, and the Elba Carlotta and the Sheraton are amongst many others lining the beautiful beaches.

The beaches that line the coast of Caleta de Fuste were made by lagoons being created where solid rock once stood.

Taxis in Caleta aren’t many in number but that isn’t seen as a problem by most visitors as one can be found in a matter of minutes. Besides, getting to Puerto Del Rosario takes about 20 minutes if you choose to travel by bus.

Caleta has seen a fair amount of growth in the last 2-3 years and besides the many hotels and holiday homes, the region also has two excellent 18 hole golf courses now.

Besides, many of the hotels/resorts offer a number of activities for their guests to indulge in keeping in mind various age groups.

Caleta de Fuste in Fuerteventura is also called El Castillo, Caleta, and Costa Caleta and this often leads to some confusion amongst the regions many visitors.
